Can I sue my employer for lost wages?

I was in an accident about 3 to 4 months ago. I was out of work for a month and two weeks never revived lost wages and the insurance. Company keeps putting me off.

First of all if you had an automobile accident you are entitled under no fault to recover lost wages. This is if you have provided the appropriate documentation, that your employer has corroborated your lost time from work, and that you have been seeking medical care as a result of the injury. If you have not obtained legal representation you should consider same.

You need to set up a worker's compensation claim right now. Actually, your employer should have done this for you a long time ago. You're entitled to it and if they don't provide coverage, you may be able to sue your employer. Go to whoever sets up those claims at your company and demand one be set up for you. If they refuse, go see a personal injury or worker's compensation attorney immediately. In addition to lost wages, worker's compensation will cover your medical treatment costs. Good luck.

Was the injury on the job? If so, you are entitled to Worker's Comp. If not, was it a car crash? If so, you are entitled to No-Fault coverage. Neither? You may be entitled to disability coverage. Was the accident someone else's fault? If so, you may be able to recover from some other source.

If you got hurt on the job then you file for Workers Compensation. If not, then you're out of luck unless there's a policy at work that you get paid.
